Margaret TAAFFE, daughter of Nicholas TAAFFE (1817-1882) and Mary MEIGHAN ( - ), was born in 1841 in Co. Meath. She was baptised on Monday, 1 March 1841 in Kells (Rootsireland / Church record). The Godparents were Hugh Sheridan and Catherine Lynch. According to 1901 census (31 March), Margaret Murtagh was 60 years of age and lived in No 2 Grattan Street, Dublin (a Tenement House). Her son Nicholas was residing in No 2 with her. According to 1911 census (2 April), Margaret was 70 years of age and living on her own in No 2, Grattan Street. The census also records that Margaret and William Murtagh had 6 children of which 3 were living in 1911. Records show them as Thomas, Nicholas and James.
Margaret Murtagh died on Monday, 6 April 1916 in Dublin at 73 years of age (Vol. 2, page 508, Apr-Jun, Dublin South). Margaret was buried on Thursday, 9 April 1916 in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin (St Paul's - SB51) with her son (Thomas) - no headstone.

Mary MURPHY, daughter of Cornelius MURPHY ( - ), was born in 1856 in County Cork. According to that 1901 census (31 March), the family of eight were still living in 277 Blarney Street, Cork, she was described as a Houskeeper and was aged 46 years. Mary died on Wednesday, 28 July 1909 (Vol. 5, page 66, Jul-Sep) in Cork City aged 52.

Thomas BRADLEY, son of Patrick BRADLEY and Catherine [UNKNOWN], was born in 1843. He was a Porter. Thomas married twice. He married Catherine TALBOT. He married Catherine REILLY on Sunday, 7 January 1877 (Vol. 2, page 834, Dublin South) in St Michael's & John Church, Dublin. The best man was John Redmond and Rose Humphries was a bridesmaid. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Bernard Duffy. He died on Wednesday, 26 February 1890 (Vol 2, page 697, Dublin South) in 71 Dame Street, Dublin aged 47 years. He was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin (St. Brigid's - JH 205.5).

Catherine TALBOT was born in 1837 in Dublin. She died on Thursday, 5 March 1872 in 1 Chapel Lane, Dublin aged 35 years.
Catherine REILLY was born in 1851. According to the 1901 census (31 March), Catherine Bradley was 50 years of age and living in 71 Dames Street, Dublin (beside the Empire Place Theatre (now the Olympia Theatre) and above a shop). There were two Boarders living in the house with her. According to the 1911 census (2 April), Catherine Bradley was still living in 71 Dames Street, Dublin (beside the Empire Place Theatre (now the Olympia Theatre) and above a shop). There were three Boarders living in the house with her. According to Thom's Directory Catherine Bradley was the registered owner of 27 Emorville Avenue, South Circular Road, Dublin from 1925 until her death in 1930.
Catherine Bradley died on Thursday, 6 March 1930 in 27 Emorville Avenue, South Circular Road, Dublin aged 79 years. She was buried on Saturday, 8 March 1930 in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin (St. Brigid's - JH 205.5) with her husband (Thomas) and step son (John).
4. James Byrne (1855-1933) / Maryanne Crewe ( -1920)
James BYRNE, son of John BYRNE and Margaret BEGLEY (1838-1911), was born in May 1855 in Palmerstown. He was baptised on Sunday, 27 May 1855 in Palmerstown Church, Co. Dublin (Book 1, Page 49). The godparents were Robert Rigney and Bridget Collins. He worked as a Cloth Presser in Lucan Mills. James married Maryanne CREWE on Saturday, 17 April 1875 (Vol. 7, page 423, Celbridge) in Lucan. The witnesses were Robert Taylor and Ellen Byrne and the celebrant was Rev. James Hunt. According to the 1901 census (31 March), James (45) and Mary Anne Byrne (46) lived at 18 Lucan Petty Cannon with 5 or their 7 children 9 (James[20], Mary Ellen[18], Henry[17], Alice[15] and Joseph[12]). According to 1911 census (2 April), James (54) and Mary Anne (57) were living in 1 Lucan Town (Cannonbrook Cottage) with their son, Joseph[21], grandson James[8] and granddaughter Mona Crewe [2].
James Byrne died on Tuesday, 19 December 1933 (Vol. 2, page 289, Oct-Dec, Dublin South) in Lucan aged 77 years. He was buried in Esker Cemetery with his wife (Mary Anne).
Mary Anne CREWE, daughter of Henry CREWE ( - ) and Margaret [UNKNOWN] ( - ), appeared in the 1901 census (31 March) aged 46 years and 1911 census (2 April) aged 57 years.
Maryanne Byrne died on Thursday, 17 June 1920 (Vol. 2, page 310, Apr-Jun, Celbridge) in Lucan aged 62 years. She was buried in Esker Cemetery. James Byrne made payments for two grave spaces costing 5 shillings each on 19 June 1920 and 31 July 1920.
